To activate AI Translation mode, the "Share for translation improvement" option must be turned on first. This applies only to the NTrans Beta version.
If "Share for translation improvement" is ON, NTrans Beta transmits your Translation Memory and Termbase to the vendor’s secure cloud storage using encrypted protocols. If it is OFF, they remain offline.

Workflow 1: Translate using Web translate service. If you translate to/from an uncommon language which is not supported by AI Models, you must use this option.
Switch to Tab 3. Advanced Options, switch the sub Tab to 3.1. Web-based services
Select your desired web translation service. Some service may required sign-in, or may not work depend on your geo location/ Internet service provider / firewall configuration.
Declare user Personal identifiable information (PII) in tab 3. Advanced Options
Return to tab 1.Translation
Select Source language, Target language
Select Engineering context (important)
Choose target Text style, Table style (optional)
Click 1.1. Translate selected objects or 1.2. Translate entire drawing
Source contents will appear in the Source column of translation table at the bottom
Click 2. Copy from Source column to copy source content to Windows clip board
Click 3. Open translation website to open a web translate service in web browser(you can manually do this from your browser and event choose any Translate services outside the list provided by Ntrans)
In web browser, declare source and target languages, Paste the content from Clipboard to Source section then copy translated content back to Clipboard
Return to Ntrans, click 4. Paste to Translation column to add translated content to Translation column in translation table
Repeat steps from 2. Copy from Source column to 4. Paste to Translation column until all source content is translated
Click 5. Apply translation to modified AutoCAD Objects with translated content
Workflow 2: Translate using Online AI service (Cloud AI API)
Turn on the option 3. Advanced Options\ Share for translation improvement to enable translation by Cloud API
Switch to sub Tab 3.2. Cloud APIs tab
Service provider is Gemini (the only one)
Model name: Left default value "Auto Select" unless you want to choose a specific AI model name as translation engine
Free API Key: Select Free API Key mode by default. Click the 🌐button to open Google website for API Key: "https://aistudio.google.com/api-keys"
User need to sign-in this website with his/her own Google account to create project(s) and get free API Key(s). No payment info required. Each project has its own daily quota. So, user can create 3-5 projects, each project one API Key to increase daily quota
Paste the API Key(s) received from Google into NTrans free API Key combobox. Click ✔️? button to save/ verify API key
Paid API Key: Select Paid API Key mode if you have paid for you API Key. Go to "https://aistudio.google.com/api-keys" sign-in, create Project, create API Key and paid with your own payment method.

Return to 1.Translation
Select Source language, Target language
Select Engineering context (important)
Choose target Text style, Table style (optional)
Click 1.1. Translate selected objects or 1.2. Translate entire drawing
Wait for translation result from AI service. During wait, user can press ESC to cancel translation
If part of translation failed, a Retry button will appear. Click it to re-translate only the non-translated part

• Cloud APIs mode of NTrans Beta currently supports Google Gemini only.
• Not translatable: objects without text, curve text, OLE objects, proxy objects, Xrefs and images.
• Language support differs by translation engine. Web services display their supported language list; for AI models the supported languages depend on the model and are not explicitly listed.
• Web services limit the number of characters per request.
• Free AI service has a daily quota; free tier cannot use advanced models such as Gemini Pro.
• Web engines may drop format codes in some language pairs.
• Source and Translation text must be Unicode characters . One exception is Vietnamese. NTrans automatically converts TCVN3 and VNI characterset to Unicode.
• Right-to-Left (RTL) languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian… may display incorrectly
Hide Personal identifiable information (PII):
You need to manually input the information you need to hide (names, address, phone number... and any other confidential info) for this feature to work.
Do not input information which is too short and can be messed with common word.
The sensitive information will be screened/ censored from source content before sending to translation engine. As a side effect, sensitive information will not be translated too.
For example: You declared "Ryan Lee" in Personal identifiable information table. Then the sentence "My name is Ryan Lee" in your drawing will be come "My name is {§0§}" when sending to translation engine.
Your Personal identifiable information will remain at your local computer and never be sent outside.
