Before AutoCAD 2016 SP1, when printing to PDF, text objects with SHX font are UNSEARCHABLE.
Since AutoCAD 2016 SP1, when printing to PDF, text objects with SHX font appear in PDF with yellow outlines. Each Yellow line is a PDF rectangle object, with a note reflecting the content of a text object. However, text contents are still UNSEARCHABLE.

To remove the "useless" Yellow lines, we often set the variable PDFSHX (formerly EPDFSHX in AutoCAD 2016 SP1) to 0

Since AutoCAD 2024, a new value for PDFSHX has been introduced. JUST SET PDFSHX = 2.
SHX contents are now SEARCHABLE, yellow outlines are also removed.
